TOO BUSY WITH GODS WORK Those who hope in in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31) To run and not grow weary is the beginning of the whole matter of activity and strength. All this is the result of waiting on God. There may be lots of activities created by enthusiasm. Activity often continues at the expense of more solid, useful elements and generally to the total neglect of prayer. To be too busy with Gods work to commune with Him, to be busy with doing church work without taking time to talk to God about His work, is the highway to backsliding. In spite of great activity, the work will be helpless without the cultivation and the maturity of the graces of prayer. PRAYER: Father God, please help me not to become so busy with Your work that I dont take time to consult with You about what You want me to do. Amen.
