China launched two new satellites into orbit in the early hours of this morning as part of the countrys Long March 2D series. The two satellites - the Chuangxin 1-04 and the experimental Ling Qiao satellites into orbit - were launched through one rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in Chinas Gansu Province. They were launched at 8.15 a.m. local time. 3. Former chief justice of India (CJI) P. Sathasivam was sworn in as the new Governor of Kerala on Friday morning. The acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, Ashok Bhushan, administered the oath to Mr. Sathasivam at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. Mr. Sathasivam is the first former CJI to become the Governor of a state. 4. India accounted for the highest estimated number of suicides in the world in 2012, according to a WHO report published on Thursday which found that one person commits suicide every 40 seconds globally. In the WHO South-East Asia Region, the estimated suicide rate is the highest as compared to other WHO regions. Suicide rates show a peak among the young and the elderly, the report said. 5.
