TOPIC: *SPEECH* part 1. By Evang. Timothy. Speech is the act of speaking. It is the loud expression of thoughts, ideas and imaginations e.t.c by using the voice, jesus christ is our example and role model in the christian faith, He has left a legacy for us to follow. That is why we are called christians i.e Christ-like (11:26). As the salt of the earth, we are to give taste to the world in every aspect of our lives, including the area of what we say and how we say it. The words we speak should and ought to present us as true believers in Jesus Christ, before the people at all times. Today, in our various neighbourhoods and even in Christendom for a many believers take delight and derive pleasure in speaking un-seasoned words that would condemn our faith, belief and doctriine. It is therefore important to note that we shall give account of every care-less and unholy word that proceeds out of our mouth. May we learn to tame our tongues and control our lips as Christians in Jesus name. Amen. Conclusion: it is with the mouth that we speak and the tongue is the propelling force behind the outpouring of words. The tongue is a world of iniquity and can be destructively poisonous. No wonder, God hid it between the teeth and enveloped it with the lips. Out of our mouths should proceed words of Grace and wisdom, positive words of empowerment, for effective and result orieted daily living.
