IN FACT, THEY EVEN QUOTE THE BIBLE -- The devil, too, quotes Scriptures Expectedly, Noynoy quoted the Bible during his speech before the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) faithful that launched the Philippine Arena. But all too suddenly, the biblical quote he chose was the part where Jesus tells his disciples to love one another. But being Nonoy, he chose to use this launch and his love-one-another quote to get Filipinos to stop criticizing him. Quoted he: “There are some who will always find a reason to criticize me for anything I do, including my attendance here. Let me remind them, if we are fellow Christians, it is our duty to love each other in the name of God instead of sowing doubt and discord,” adding that these criticisms were expected, as he would always have enemies in his quest for reforms, but said his critics should instead join his administration in doing good for the benefit of all. If INC Minister Eduardo Manalo quoted this biblical passage, no doubt, he would be believed 100 percent not only by his flock, but also other Filipino Christians. But Noynoy quoting this same biblical passage is ridiculous, considering the fact that it can be said that in early 2010, he had the love of some 30 million Filipinos who had voted for him, because they believed in his promises of change and reforms in government. They loved him, but he clearly did not love them back as he, throughout his four years in Malacañang, has proven to the people that there has been no change, and the reforms he spoke of during his inauguration have been replaced by vindictiveness against those whom he perceived as his political foes and a “reform” leading to a dictatorial rule. Worse, even as he claims to be a Christian, and one who admonishes his people to love another, he is completely bereft of Christian love and compassion — when it comes to his political foes. What change can he speak of, when he has committed even graver sins against the people and the Constitution, by usurping the power of the purse of Congress, turned them into certified puppets of his and even used public funds to benefit not only his relatives but also himself as compensation for the Hacienda Luisita owners, even doubling the price set by the high court and granting Tarlac, his hometown P2 billion. And Noynoy, he who claims to be honest and transparent, showered his Liberal Party members and even his anointed, Mar Roxas, with tens of billions, which were used to get the presidential vote in 2016. Where was his Christian love and compassion when it came to his, and his puppet court, to deny Gloria Arroyo, who is very ill, even that which should not be denied her by law — her bail, especially since the prosecution failed to prove her alleged crime, and when all her co-accused have been granted bail? Noynoy talks of Christian love and pleaded to his critics to stop sowing doubt and discord, when it is he who has been sowing discord, divisiveness and yes, even grave doubts on the high court that ruled his DAP unconstitutional and illegal thorugh his acts as his attacks on the Supreme Court and his threats against its justices. Even in the pork barrel scam, he has proven that he loves only his allies and bears down hard on his perceived political foes, such as the three opposition senators, who have been seen by him and his LPs as a political threat to the LP’s victory in 2016 and whom he and his yellows and allies have demonized, then tried by publicity, charged by his puppet Leila de Lima, and Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, with the help of faulty selective auditing of yet another Noynoy puppet, Grace Pulido-Tan, with none of the three willing to even investigate Noynoy and Butch Abad on their plunder of public funds through the illegal and unconstitutional acts committed, using as cover, the Disbursement Acceleration Program which benefited not only Noynoy and the Cojuangco-Aquinos, but also his political ambition to ensure the perpetuation of power and influence with his anointed to succeed him, if he does not formalize his dictatorial rule that is now ongoing. Nothing Noynoy does or says — including preaching the message of love of neighbor, is going to fly because he has been unmasked by the people as a certified hypocrite and crooked, to boot. These days, for all the betrayals he has committed against the people, it has become easier not to love him. As for his biblical quote, hey, even the devil can quote Scriptures.
