TRADITION vs. GOD I am now quite sure that I no longer believe in attending what we call church. When the gentiles began to receive the gospel and many were saved, the Jewish believers tried to demand that these new believers first become Jews as well as Christians... but Paul argued that this was wrong... and the church in Jerusalem eventually allowed the gentile believers the freedom not to take on the yoke of Judaism, and they were indeed, free in Christ. I believe that the gathering of the saints is a biblical, but what we have for the most today, is little more than works and an extension of meeting in the Jerusalem temple and the synagogues. Also, freedom should never be a license to sin either. I am saying that playing church on Sunday is NEVER a substitute for a daily relationship with Jesus. God said that though shalt have no other gods before him.... is this true in your life, or do you worship at the feet of some man or denomination? Do we worry about our ministry? Talk to Jesus daily. Walk with Jesus. Be his witnesses. Take up your cross and follow HIM. Love the saints, greet them with a holy kiss, forsake not the gathering of the saints, but please stop playing church. Shalom. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:11 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. John 13:3-4
