TRAFFIC ADVISORY The Global Inspirational & Enlightenment Organization of GITA is organizing a massive religious function on 07.12.2014 from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM at Red Fort Ground at Subhash Marg. Approximately 20,000 devotees and saints & VIPs are expected to arrive in about 300 buses & 600 cars. Due to the function traffic will remain heavy on Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg. General public are advised to avoid Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg and Shyama Prasad Mukhrjee Marg. All commercial vehicles DTC buses and other buses should take Ring Road by-pass to reach ISBT. In case of traffic congestion, all vehicles would be diverted from Delhi Gate towards Shanti Van Chowk. PARKING: i. VIP Car Parking will be at Red Fort Ground near Mazar Kalimullah. Besides, there would be VVIP car parking on Gyan Path and Shanti Van parking. ii. Other cars would be accommodated on service road (Ring Road) from Vijay Ghat to Shakti Sthala. iii. Buses would be parked on closed road on Ring Road near Vijay Ghat and on service road behind Red Fort. iv. Parking for OB vans of Media would be in the Red Fort Ground towards south side of place of function. v. General car parking is also available at Gandhi Maidan and Parade Ground MCD parking lots. Special instruction to general public 1. Commuters going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway station, and ISBT should leave in advance and have sufficient time for absorbing possible delays in routes. 2. Avail public transport to help decongestion of roads. 3. Park their vehicles only at designated parking lots and avoid roadside parking as it causes hindrance to normal flow of traffic. 4. In case any unusual/unidentified object or person is seen moving in suspicious circumstances it must be informed to Police Control Room. The public is advised to make maximum use of public transport, especially Delhi Metro. Adequate traffic arrangements have been made to ensure proper movement of devotees and keep the general flow of traffic normal and smooth.
