TRAFFIC RULES FOR YOUR SAFETY We want everyone to be safe at our venue and managing workplace transport is an important part of this process. Please follow these few simple rules so that we can all help to keep the NEC as safe as possible. Please follow the instructions of NEC Traffic or Security staff. Speed limits apply on site please adhere to them. Maximum speed limit of 15mph (2.4kph) must be observed at all times on the NEC inner roads. Do not park on red lines or hatched areas unless permitted to do by the NEC Traffic or Security staff for the purpose of loading and unloading. Do not park on pavements or pathways as this may obstruct pedestrians. Slow down when approaching junctions and whilst in areas of congestion. Be vigilant at all times for fork lift truck movement. Avoid obstructing points of access or egress. Observe all road markings and traffic signs. It is an offence to use mobile phones while driving your vehicle. Failure to display a valid vehicle pass or to adhere to the NEC site traffic rules may result in vehicles being removed. Please remember our staff are here to help you and all of the other exhibitors have a great show. Please follow their requests and follow these few simple rules. The road traffic act applies on our roads and NEC Traffic and Security Officers are Law Enforcement Officers and are authorised to issue Notices of Intended Prosecution under the Road Traffic Act 1988, sections 2, 22, 35 &36. It is not our wish to have to use this approach and would request your cooperation in helping us to keep the site moving and safe for our users. If you see any dangerous activity please report this to the NEC Venue Operations Centre on 0121 767 2393
