*** TRAFFIC UPDATE *** For motorists using Royal National Park, between Thursday 25 December 2013 to Friday 2 January 2014. • Traffic arrangements: → Road closures and car parks Road closures will be put in place when parking areas in the Royal National Park, Maianbar and Bundeena reach capacity. If Wattamolla and Garie Beach car parks are closed, motorists can still drive through the park in both directions and park at Audley if spaces are available. If parking at Audley reaches capacity, visitors can continue to Maianbar and Bundeena. → Residential access Residential access is available for residents and their guests. You will be requested by Police to show proof of travel to a residential address. • Advice: → Expect delays Allow extra travel time • Other Info: Large crowds and changed traffic conditions are expected in the Royal National Park during the holiday period, in particular on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Road closures will be in place when parking areas reach capacity. Travel through the Royal National Park is available in both directions unless heavy traffic congestion is experienced. If this occurs, the northern entry to the park via Farnell Avenue in Loftus will be closed. Residential access will be available via McKell Avenue in Waterfall only. Parking is limited so pre-plan your meeting area and arrive early. Plan alternative locations outside the Royal National Park should road closures be place when you arrive.
