TRAILER TATTLE: Ek Villain Although its opening on 27 June, the trailer of Mohit Suris upcoming movie is already out. Sidharth Malhotra, aiming for an image makeover after playing a soft-faced and pulp-hearted romantic type in Student of the Year and Hasee Toh Phasee, pairs up with Shraddha Kapoor, fresh off the success of Aashiqui 2. Its an early teaser and the movie is a suspense thriller, so brevity is the key here. A typically slick montage of happiness gives way to a typically slick montage of confusion after Kapoors character falls, Baazigar-style, out of the window, pushed by a man with a smiley mask. The question here is not whether Malhotras character, sporting a stubble and a tux for macho effect, clears his name and finds the killer. Or, whether Ritesh Deshmukh is the villain of the title. The question is whether Mithoon, whose music powered Aashiqui 2 to box office glory, is composing any tunes for Ek Villain. He is, along with Ankit Tiwari.
