We start with the latest on Germany centre-back Mats Hummels future, and the Daily Express is reporting this morning that Arsenal are preparing to launch a £32million bid for the Borussia Dortmund star in an attempt to beat Manchester United to his signature. Wenger will be handed a £20million transfer budget in January as the Gunners look to push for the Premier League title. The paper claims Arsenal will not be in a position to make a marquee signing such as Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez but will still have significant funds to bolster their squad. Frank Lampard has again played down suggestions his loan deal from New York to Manchester City will be extended. The former Chelsea midfielder is due back at the MLS club in January but some reports claim his recent performances have persuaded City to extend that deal. I am contracted here until January. I am enjoying every minute of training at this level and being able to get game time. That is as far as it goes at the moment. Speculation has come because of a couple of goals, but at the moment there is nothing to be said. Real Madrid could do January business with Chelsea and or Arsenal and a Sunderland striker may be on the move.
