TRAVEL LOUNGE Vacancy: Ticketing & leisure holiday consultant (6 months temporary) Job Description / General details: The main task of this position is to assist clients with their travel arrangements in a friendly, yet very professional way. Issuing flight tickets or taking care of any other travel related arrangements mean dealing with plenty of paperwork which requires excellent organizations skills and a very neat way of working. The high volume of quote and booking requests create a huge timely pressure and great deal of stress. Travel arrangements must be taken care off at a high level of accuracy, as well as efficient and fast. It is important to be able to prioritize work. The duties of ticketing / leisure holiday consultant require a great deal of responsibility and dedicated attitude towards clients and work. Position opens 15th June 2013 on 6 months temporary contract. Thereafter the contract may be renewed into a permanent contract. Minimum Qualifications: (Compulsory) • Grade 12 (passed) / Matric • Excellent English skills verbally and nonverbally • Certificate of the tourism industry (passed) • Basis knowledge about the reservation system “Amadeus” • Excellent (general) computer skills in “word” and good skills in “excel” Other Requirements: (Advantage) • Quotation and ticketing of Regional / international fares • IT – Ticketing, Reissues & revalidation of flight tickets • Issuing of EMD’s • Responsible & dedicated attitude towards clients and work • Quoting & Selling holiday packages • Car rental & accommodation bookings (internationally) via Amadeus • Assist corporate clients fast & efficiently • Arranging group bookings: Flight & Land arrangements (regionally & internationally) • Other language skills (eg. Afrikaans, Otjiherero, Ovambo, Damara / Nama, German etc.) Please only apply for this position if your CV meets the “Minimum Qualifications”.
