TROPICS: Tomorrow marks the traditional peak of hurricane season. Right now, there arent any official storms, but we do have two areas to watch. BAHAMAS: A cluster of storms is nearly stationary over the Bahamas now, and will remain so for several days. These storms will remain relatively undisturbed by winds through weeks end. With extremely warm waters, this area needs to be watched closely. A few computer models show this system could develop by the weekend. Just something to watch at this point, but should it develop, it may bring weather impacts to much of the Southeast coast. AFRICAN COAST: A strong tropical wave will very likely develop into a tropical storm or hurricane this week. It will head out in the open Atlantic, and likely turn out to sea without bothering land. Im not worried about this one, and you shouldnt be either.
