TROY S SONG OF THE DAY: My Wife Thinks Youre Dead by Junior Brown. Born Jamieson Brown in Kirksville, Indiana on June 12, 1952; Junior started playing at a very early age, & even studied music in college in Oklahoma. In 1985 he invented his trademark guit- steel; which is a combination of a Fender Telecaster neck, & lap steel body. Then after moving to Austin, Texas in the early 90s; he & his band became the house band at the Continental Club there in Austin. He soon garnered a record label as his fame grew, & by 1995 had released his second album , Junior High, which produced both Highway Patrol & My Wife.... Junior is a very gifted artist, & if I could make a list of my all time favorite country songs, My Wife.. would be in the top ten!! Although it did not make it much past the seventies in the charts when released, my personal opinion is that this song is very, very underrated!!! Although written with very humorous lyrics, the music style is unquestionably country, & the style that country is lacking today!! Take it away Junior....
