TRUE DETECTIVE: Honestly not something I would recommend. I ended up stopping after 3 episodes because its two guys being dickish, no other strong characters to balance those personalities out, zero humor and the pacing just didnt hit me the right way. The flashback narrative is great and I like the way the mystery unfolded so far, but in all honestly it just isnt my vibe in the same way that House wasnt. In the same way that I stopped watching the Wolf of Wall Street because it was just guys being dicks and 30 minutes in, I want more than that. Anybody have thoughts? Im sure someonell say BUT EPISODE 4 IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD, haha. Next up on the backlog: The Newsroom???
