TRUE LOVE One of major the problems we have with TRUE LOVE is in our basic understanding of what it is. We have allowed the world to define something that can only come from God. LOVE is not a feeling. LOVE is a fact. LOVE is not an idea. LOVE an Ideal. LOVE is not getting. LOVE is giving. LOVE is not an emotion. LOVE is the very Essence of God. TRUE LOVE always produces sacrifice towards its source. But God demonstrates His own LOVE toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Here is a good LOVE meter for you. Anytime you are talking about LOVE ask yourself does it meet these criteria. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) says that LOVE is patient and kind. LOVE is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.LOVE does not demand its own way. LOVE is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. LOVE does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. LOVE never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. LOVE lasts forever! If your LOVE doesnt meet these requirements then it is lacking and not pure. Dear friends, let us continue to LOVE one another, for LOVE comes from God. Anyone who LOVES is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not LOVE does not know God, for God is LOVE.God showed how much he LOVED us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is TRUE LOVE—not that we LOVED God, but that he LOVED us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God LOVED us that much, we surely ought to LOVE each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we LOVE each other, God lives in us, and his LOVE is brought to full expression in us. We LOVE each other because he LOVED us first. (1 John 4:7-12,19) A new command I give you: LOVE one another. As I have LOVED you, so you must LOVE one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you LOVE one another.” (John 13:35-35)
