TRUE OR FALSE? You have to use your friends and family to make money in network marketing? FALSE! Many people believe you have to use your friends and family to make any money in Network Marketing. I know that regardless of any business that you start, (Traditional business or from home) you’re most likely to get your initial support or ask for support from friends and family. While this may work for some it doesn’t work for all. For some it’s because their family and friends are very supportive. For others it’s their comfort zone. This wasn’t the case when I started my home based business. My family had already been exhausted and heard about the opportunity and for others they simply were not interested. It is not personal although it may feel like it is. I have found other times our family can be the most resistant or skeptical to something they no nothing about or have no experience with. This is natural too. I find family feels it’s an obligation to steer us from things they are wary of. Allow them to do their research. If you want to start with family and friends because it’s comfortable for you then do it. I know when I find something I truly love or has had made a huge difference in my life I want to share it first with the most important people in my life. The same is true for a great product or opportunity I find. It will not be for everyone and that is okay. It’s my job to share/invite and theirs to get involved, nothing personal about it. I know today when I work with new people getting started in our industry I ask them to think of 4-6 people they would like to have in their boardroom. For you this may be a family member or friend you couldn’t imagine doing business without or perhaps an influential person in your life. When I got started in this industry I really looked at it as an investment. I saw the wealth creation side of this business model. While I was definitely looking for a supplemental income stream I wasn’t simply looking for what I cold make immediately, but knew the time I was investing was building up something incredible to leverage my time and exponentially build my residual income. AND as I saw where this could take me I immediately wanted to get those people who I wanted to be living the DREAM LIFE with me involved in some way or another.
