TRUTH ABOUT AFRICAN POLITICS: NIGERIA A TYPICAL CASE-STUDY. Nigerian politics is a very complicated topic, but it is not entirely different from world politics, which is often plagued by partisanship and sectionalism. Nigerian politics is unique however, because it brings into play so many factors, a few of which includes individual interests, geographic factors, religion and a host of other trivial issues. Politics is an integral part of democracy, and in order for us to achieve sustainable development, we need to redefine politics in Nigeria. Up till this moment, true democracy has remained elusive to us, Infrastructure is comatose. Unemployment, especially among the graduates is soaring. Corruption in high places is alarming. Security is at low ebb. The sanctity of the ballot box is not fully guaranteed. The ship of state analysts warn may hit the rock, if drastic measures to avert the catastrophe are not properly applied by the rulers. It is a story of wasted hope. Nigeria achieved civil rule, but it appears that democracy is still illusory, lop-sidedness character everywhere, all sectors have been politicise, systemic failure is not well looked into, leadership failures are in a great extents, weak mono-cultural base, lack of diversification of economy, high level of corruption, low perception of political culture, heavily involvement of government in the highbrow of state economy, under-developed structure for real capitalism, import dependency nature, dis-equilibrium in allocation of resources, quasi capitalism, porous borders, politics and administration are friends of which it shouldnt be, fundamental human right is not well guaranteed, house of law have turned to house of lawless, a country where the insignificance and certificated idiots minorities monopolize on the majorities what a systemic fallacy. A 53yrs old nation-state still aspiring for the goals of technology and economics. I think every system must be redefined. Economically we are bad, politically we are evil. Dont just know the political ideology that can be best use to psychoanalyse our low mentality in political culture. What a fallacy.
