TRUTH about Hallelujah: It actually originally meant a SECOND - TopicsExpress

TRUTH about Hallelujah: It actually originally meant a SECOND PERSON instruction not a 1st person celebratory phrase. So when folks say: "Hallelujah" they have taken an older term/concept and actually changed the intention. Initially, the term meant: "You praise Yah" an instruction, not the way church folks use it today "I praise Jehovah". ( Hebrew word הַלְּלוּיָהּ) The more you learn the more you see how people are clueless and simply parroting terms/ideas their preacher tells them to say/do. "The mind is a terrible thing to waste" HalleluKnowledge ;-)
