Closing Date: 2 August 2013 Location: Pongola Mill An exciting opportunity exists for a young, dynamic person as an Engineer-in-Training: Chemical at Pongola Mill. This position is permanent in nature and the successful candidate will participate in an intensive development and mentoring programme, which will enable him/her to develop his/her engineering or specific functional skills within a sugar manufacturing environment. This development programme is aimed at training the EIT in all aspects of the application of chemical engineering principles to practical situations. The programme also incorporates management training in order for the EIT to gain the necessary practical experience in operating the plant and leading people. The successful candidate must be in possession of a BSc/BTech degree in Chemical Engineering, and well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Exposure to work in the respective field would be advantageous. Certified exam results must accompany the CV and preference will be given to candidates with correct subjects that will enable them to register with ECSA.
