TSB Primary Health Care Sister Legal and Risk Services Closing Date: 23 January 2015 Vacancy objective: The primary objective of this position is to provide Primary Health Care Services to the employees of Tsb with a greater function in Medicine Supply Management. Reporting structure: Reporting to the Employee Health and Wellness Sister at the Malalane Mill Clinic, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities: Responsibilities: • Consultation and treatment of employees, as required and under direction of the Occupational Medical Practitioner at the Malalane Mill Clinic. Evaluation, monitoring, consultation with and treatment of patients with chronic diseases including ensuring that all patients have a valid prescription and issuing them with their medication. Management of medicine supplies and stock control in accordance with relevant legislation and in particular the Medicine and Related Substances Control Act of 1965. Requirements: • The position requires a person with effective professional and interpersonal skills who is adaptable and has the ability to work well under pressure. The incumbent should be able to think ahead, plan and organise his/her workload. The ideal candidate should be registered with the Nursing Council of South Africa as a Professional Nurse and have 5 years’ experience in Primary Healthcare. A Degree/Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery and Community Health Nursing and Degree/Diploma in Primary Healthcare Nursing are requirements. The successful candidate must also be in in possession of a Certificate of Competence in Dispensing for Healthcare Professionals and a Certificate/Degree in Drug Supply Management. The ability to communicate in English and SiSwati, Computer Literacy (Outlook, Word and Excel) and a valid Code08 driver’s licence is essential.
