TSD has an outstanding superintendent too. We encourage the BOE and community to let Dr. Scheer, the staff and teachers do their jobs. TSD has a lot in common with PSD with many (as we understand it) same or similar programs already in place. We note also that PSD has done exceptionally well, and all without reformers. When American author and business consultant Jim Collins spoke at the Lincoln Center in April, it was all PSD administrators and school board members seemed to talk about for days. Collins speech still comes up in conversations today. What they remember is this: Organizations that go from good to great change 20 percent — not 80 percent — of what theyre doing.
