TUE. 1ST JULY, 2014 PECULIAR TREASURE I Exodus 19:4-6 . “You have seen what I did to Egypt and how I carried you on eagles wings and brought you to me. If you will listen obediently to what I say and keep my covenant, out of all peoples youll be my special treasure. The whole Earth is mine to choose from, but youre special: a kingdom of priests, a holy nation…” (THE MESSAGE) When God is involved with a person, he ceases to be ordinary. God made the children of Israel a peculiar treasure. Whatever is a treasure to God must possess unquantifiable worth. Realize that God owns all the silver and the gold. He owns the precious minerals and all the cattle upon a thousand hills, if this same God calls something a treasure; we are dealing with something tremendously awesome. It must be of incorruptible value. How would you treat a treasure if you owned one? You will cherish it; you will protect it; and you will carefully choose where to keep it. If, for example you possess a very valuable certificate, I will not expect to find it lying around carelessly if I visit you. Thank God, as a covenant child, you are of great value to God. No wonder He will rebuke kings for your sake. He will give His angels charge concerning you and suffer no man to do you harm. . Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for making me a peculiar treasure and making me priceless.
