TUES 04/03/2013 Christians; SEEK NOT YET REPOSE 2 Matt4:8-9 It is analogical that ‘Born Again’ Christians are the primary target of satan; he wants to turn them away from God by luring them into sin. You need to know that those who are not born again are already in satanic pot for pepper soup. Christians! Do not seek repose yet, because satan is seeking and watching your un-guarded hour. Jesus Christ as answer In Matt5:3-13, the qualities of a person that will live a Christian life are explicitly stated in the Beatitudes. Jesus Christ crowned them with Matt 5:13-“You are the salt of the earth…” and concluded that “do not think I have come to do away with the laws of Moses and the teachings of the Prophets. But to make their teachings come true”-Matt 5:17. Jesus Christ subdued Satan by demonstrating the ‘limits’ of the powers given to him during his fall from grace and reminded him all the scriptures which says “worship the Lord your God and serve only Him” and that Satan is directed “…do not put the Lord your God to test”-Luk4:12. This establishes your authority as a Christian but unfortunately, many Christians that are supposed to exercise this authority are sleeping. It is therefore only Jesus who is superior in rank to Lucifer that has the dominions and power over all satanic temptations. No man born of a woman has such over–bearing authority; except those who are born, not of the flesh, but of the spirit. Oh! how evil people of today are? Jesus gave a clue on the terrible end to the modern man by simple comparison with those that listened to Jonah at Nineveh by saying: “On judgment day, people of Nineveh will stand up and accuse you because they turned from their sins when they heard Jonah Preach”-Luk11:32. The Born Again Christian that behaves worse than the people of Nineveh are prone to satanic manipulations, and these includes all who run after earthly wealth and riches which the Devil controls among other vices. The devil will fight tooth and nail just to make sure that we do not live that holy life that will qualify us for eternal reign with Jesus; but it is now left to us to make use of the power of redemption in us and live above sin so that we can live above the devil, because sin is the entry point of the devil in any man’s life. The lord will encourage you in this journey to eternity in Jesus name. This is a contribution by Prof. D.O Adefolalu to the church magazine titled VOICE OF MERCY. May his soul rest in peace.
