TUESDAY 2nd DECEMBER 1997: When I woke up, I really didnt want to go into work. I very nearly rang in sick but I couldnt do it, so I rushed ready in half an hour. I had such a funny day at work though. I swear the effects of drink were still on me. I nearly fell down the stairs twice in one go. Plus I kept suddenly bursting into fits of laughter wherever or whatever I was doing. I told Wendy about Finlay Quaye and Diana in the kebab shop and stuff. All I kept selling all day was Diana tribute albums, so the laughs stayed with me. Everyone thought I was going crazy but I couldnt stop laughing, remembering all the things wed said and done yesterday. When I got in, I dug out Willo The Wisp and me and Wendy watched that. Once shed gone to Jolys, I got on with my washing and rang Katherine. I spoke to Matt first. He said hed seen Ben today. And? Matt said he apologised to him on my behalf: He was really pissed and thinks he made a nanny of himself. Ben said: Thats alright. I just didnt know what to say. I was really pleased. Hes lovely, I said and Matt mimicked me. He later added that Ben was stunned. Mmm, could be promising! Of course not. I just like reading into things. Wow! I stunned him! I then spoke to Katherine who spoke of some trouble at Bar Central on Monday. Oh! But also, Ben thought I was on some art/graphics course at Nene. No, he works full time at Virgin, Matt said. Yes! He knows where I work! Anyway, back to Katherine. Apparently, Kylie and freak Alex were all over each other *and* doing rude things. And Kylie was loving it. Kylie thinks Katherine still really likes Alex apparently. Naturally, Katherine felt pissed off, as Kylies meant to be her friend. Doesnt sound very good does it? But when I got off the phone, I was ultra happy. Ben was stunned! I was really really happy, bounding around the house. Not because I think that somethings gonna come of it, but because Ben didnt mind what Id said. He didnt think I was a twat. I was so happy, so I played Together Again - my happy song for now. Then I played loads of happy tunes and had a rock! Berri - Shine Like A Star, Madonna - Spotlight, Lisa Stansfield - The Real Thing and then Donna Summers Another Place And Time album, which I fell asleep to - for five minutes, and woke up to the door. It was Wendy n Phil. Except I didnt see Phil at first, so I bounded up and said: Wendy! Give me a - (see Phil) - hug. (Er), Phil, give me a hug! So I did that and felt doh! But Phil had only popped around for some boxes as he moves into his flat on Friday. Once hed gone, I told Wendy why I was happy (the phone conversation).
