The frequent misgendering of Laverne Cox is, quite frankly, despicable, and not worth anyone’s time to read. Transwomen of colour are the population most prone to violent hate crimes on an international scale, and such crimes frequently lead to the death of transwomen. Kevin’s article does nothing but promote incredibly harmful misinformation that further harms and oppresses the trans population, and simply continues to put their lives in danger. That your publication would allow an article such as this to be published is absolutely disgusting. The fact of the matter is that an opinion piece (And a misinformed one at that) regarding any marginalized identity to simply disagree with such identities is completely useless and an act of violence. I expect that your publication will remove what is nothing more than slanderous hate speech and issue a formal apology to your readers. In the year 2014, there is absolutely no reason to allow for such slanderous material to be published via any outlet that desires to maintain any sort of credibility, and you should be ashamed for allowing it to be published in the first place.” Please dont allow gigantic publications to publish hate speech.
