“TWO ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF COCAINE ~ ONE TRIP TO JAIL” On 09/15/2014, a Dunnellon Police Officer was dispatched to the 11900 block of Highway 41 for a complaint about 2 females smoking crack cocaine. The officer observed 2 female subjects sitting inside a blue in color Chevy truck at the gas pump smoking something in a clear glass pipe and passing it back and forth to each other. The officer approached the vehicle on the passenger side and while the two were unaware of his presence continued to pass the pipe and a lighter between themselves. The two were surprised when the officer asked that the pipe be handed over to him. Both subjects were requested to exit the vehicle. The officer found located inside the vehicle a Bic pin barrel which was cut off and had a white powdery substance, a piece of white rock like substance lying on the back floor area, and a Wal-Mart plastic bag containing several items which included a Chore Boy Copper Scrubber. A field presumptive test was performed on each of the items, a white in color rock found inside the pipe, the piece from the vehicles back floor board and the Bic pin barrel, results showed all tested positive for cocaine. S. Popke, the driver of the vehicle stated her driver’s license was in her wallet inside her purse. Her driver’s license was expired and she had 2 other Identification Cards inside the purse which were not her own. S. Popke was charged with; Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Knowingly possess Suspended Driver’s License and unauthorized possession of Identification Cards. M. Parker was charged with; Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both S. Popke and M. Parker were taken to the Marion County Jail.
