TWO FILIPINO MINOR CHILDREN RECEIVED TODAY APPROVAL FOR NATURALIZATION. One minor applied on 15th September and received approval today. That makes a new record of three weeks, which means its five times faster than renewing a Philippine passport. Another minor applied on 11th September and received approval today. The application fees were €175 each. Now they have to advance €200 for the certificates to be forwarded. As a bonus, each of the minors are not required to swear an Oath of alegiance as they obtained it through blood relationship. Therefore they still retain their Philippine citizenships, and can retain Phil citizenship without renewing a Philippine passport. They simply buy an Irish passport for €26.50 (which is 2.5 times cheaper than the €67 euro Philippine passport, for which they have to wait 4 months to get, as against the present 2 week waiting list for an Irish passport). They can enter the Philippines on the Irish passport and remain visa free for a year if they wish.
