TWO brothers fought over a cellphone and one of them died! The tragedy happened in Redcliffe, Verulam, north of Durban, on Sunday night. It is said that when a 26-year-old man arrived at home, he found his 36-year-old brother using his Nokia cellphone without his permission. Reaction Unit South Africa spokesman Prem Balram told Daily Sun the man demanded the phone back. “The deceased refused to hand it over and locked it in a drawer. This angered his brother, who allegedly overpowered him and choked him to death,” Balram said. Neighbours heard the brothers fighting and they called the security firm. Reaction officers found the dead man at the entrance of his home at 11.30pm. Balram said the dead man had what looked like “strangulation marks” on his neck. They arrested a suspect and handed him to the police. “Paramedics certified the victim dead. Colonel Jay Naicker said: “Verulam police are investigating a case of murder.” A suspect was due to appear in a Verulam court yesterday afternoon. Plz guess which newspaper was this in?
