TWO of the reasons to license your pet with your local county/municipality, etc: The two dogs I just spent 30 minutes with!!!! Running around the front of the house, had no problem getting the larger one in the car. The smaller one would not come no matter what. I followed him in my car to make sure he wasnt running into any major streets, etc and he stopped at a door and started scratching about 3 streets over. No tags on either. Not only did I spend 15 minutes outside of the house ringing and knocking on their door and talking to the neighbors - but also searching Craigslist and CSLPA. Called the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region and checked for animals registered at that address. Nothing! After 20 minutes some dude finally opens the door as I was driving away. (Was heading to the vet to get them scanned). WTH? The LOUD doorbell and knocking didnt do it for ya? Point of the story - if they were licensed I could have possibly gotten a phone number instead of being parked in the middle of the street and standing in some strangers driveway. Let alone the dogs being stresssed at the situation. Geesh.
