TXDOT ALERT: Eastbound I-20 Work Rescheduled Work on the FM 2599 overpass west of Big Spring will necessitate closure of Interstate 20 eastbound main lanes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014. The project had to be moved back a day because the semi hauling the beams to the construction site had a blowout and delivery of the beams was prevented for several hours. THURDAY, APRIL 24: All I-20 eastbound lanes will be closed from mile marker 165 to mile marker 171. All I-20 eastbound main lane traffic must take Exit 165 at FM 818 and cross over to the north frontage road. Traffic will then take the Moore Field Road overpass to the south frontage road in order to get back on the I-20 eastbound main lanes. The road closures are expected to last from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Dates may change depending on Weather Conditions or Emergency Conditions.
