TYLER” “TY” is a two year old yellow lab, neutered, 63 lbs - TopicsExpress

TYLER” “TY” is a two year old yellow lab, neutered, 63 lbs (but could do with a few more pounds as he is quite thin). This incredibly handsome boy does not display the usual boisterous, outgoing, enthusiastic lab personality but presents as an “anxious” but full of potential boy. Ty needs a quiet, secure home preferably with someone who is home a lot and can devote extra time to him while he gains confidence in himself and learns to trust you and his environment. Ty was a transport from another Shelter so too much upheaval in his short life has led to “nervousness”. He was camera shy at first but soon settled into the routine and enjoyed the extra attention. Ty doesn’t seem to mind children but they should be over 12 as the young ones activity, sudden movements and loud voices make him jumpy. He likes other dogs and displays medium energy; cats do not bother him. His Behavioural Evaluation found him to be food motivated, eager to learn, happy, actively seeks contact, no aggression to humans, no interest in cats. Our Staff have also found him to be loving and he longs for affection and attention. He walks on leash with a head halter which should be used to make the experience more enjoyable for both while Ty is learning what is required. If you would find it rewarding to bring Ty to his potential, have patience, lots of love to give, and are willing to spend extra active, loving time with him to help this this gorgeous boy blossom into the grand dog he could be, please come and meet him. Ty would be thrilled to come home with you if the fit is right. Call the Shelter at 519-833-2287 or e.mail adoptions@uppercredit to meet him. Article Submitted by;Judith-Anne Kolu, UCHS Volunteer
