Taal Volcano - Tagaytay - Philippines is not Fuji - Japan. I have to reckon that the two places are wonderful naturally. However, the ways local people treat tourists are quite different. While Japanese assist as they can, Philippinos try their best to make money from tourists. You cannot be smarter than them! You are in their land! For example they can charge from 2000 to 6000 Peso for boat riding to the Taal Island depending on who you are, foreign or local tourists. You, of course, could negotiate, but they will find out chances to cut you: entrance fee, guidance fee ect. What a pity!
