Taelyn Was Born At 37wks , when she came out she coded once her umbilical cord was cut, I was confused I thought my pregnancy was going great and I always made complaints to my doctor saying I think something was wrong but he kept telling me I was fine I felt it in my soul. So when she came they saw so many different things wrong with her congenital anomalies, clenched fist, rocker bottom Feet, short webbed neck, so I was confused and lost. Doctors said she had 8-10 days to live. As a teen mom, I didnt know what to think or say. The doctors were thinking she had trisomy 18 but all her test came back inconclusive, she still doesnt have a diagnosis. I soon later learned she had laryngeamalacia and that if she was to ever go down and code again they would have to trach her. Because the tubes werent stable. She finally came home at 2 months old, but we went in for a doctor appointment to see ENT he was scoping her nose and her airway and lungs completely shut down it collapse. The doctor who scoped her didnt know how to administer CPR he picked her up and patted her back , I was in disbelief in shock I start praying, lord dont fail me yet we made it this far so other doctors rush in and immediately started CPR I was so thankful. Then thats when I was told shell have to be trached so shell have a more stable airway I cried my eyes out wondering how could this be she was doing so good. But it was placed and she came out of surgery fine, she came home a month later. I told others what happen and her story they said it was malpractice I spoke with many lawyers they wouldnt touch the case because they said doctors will stick together and Ill have to take it outside jurisdiction. She had 24hour nursing care but it has been cut down to 16 . Medicaid has only been covering so much, and im in need of help im doing all that I can as a teen mom to provide & support my child & fund as much as I can w/out being employed. Its a struggle but God has brought me this far im too determined I wont give up. I just want my daughter story to be heard .
