Here we go. 1) A History of Malaysia by Professor Barbara Watson Andaya - this is a true treasure for Malaysians who wants to know more about our country. It is also the official textbook for UMs Malaysian History students. The approach is academic and neutral. Information were most accurate in reflecting our historical and anthropological setting. Must rest to Malaysians. 2) the Night watch Pentalogy by Sergei Lukyanenko. My Favourite fiction all time, and its through these 5 books series that Ive realized my appreciations towards Russian Humour. It trumps all traditional fictions that Ive read or heard. Best of all, it rubbishes Harry potter and Twilight. Too bad its heavily based in Russian setting in the first 2 books (Ukraine on the 3rd), (Scotland on the 4th), and (Taiwan etc on the 5th). 3) Tuesday with morrie & the 5 people you meet in Heaven & the Time Keeper by Mitch Albom - the three books that truly altered my perception about life, fellow human being and how to live a life without regrets. 4) The Kite Runner by Khalwd Hosseini. It made me tearful 5) 猎命师传奇 and 语言 by 九把刀Giddens. Former a fictional series that blends in many Chinese and Japanese historical characters and events, an interesting twist to how fate are treated as living creatures and be pacified / tamed into supra-natural use. Deserved to be translated into English. 6) The Downing Street years - by Margaret Thatcher. If I am ever remembered as a central rightist, it has to be because of this book. 7) 西藏生死书 the Tibetan Book of Life and Death - a book that strengthen my Faith, and its the only book that keeps sending chill to my spine. Rimpoche who re-incarnate, after going throughout life and death, recounted his experience in the book. Basic theravadians Buddhism knowledge is essential before attempting this book. Not sure if its available in english but worth a read. 8) the diet bible, and running for dummies - needs no further clarification . Altered my lifestyle and choices. 9) 孙子兵法 Sun Tzu Art of War - tactics and strategies that are applicable in life, business, networking, politics, career, entrepreneurs ; and is time-proof. Thousand years of tactical wisdoms compiled into a bundle that in the past have made generals, kings, billionaires, activists, socialites, and many others with high social stature. 10) so many others that are worthy to be on this list but couldnt because tagger only ask for 10. I keep this empty in honour of those books. ~ the more you read the more you know how ignorant you are.
