Tagging people in ur posts and photos is like dressing up and walking along the road, u stop people one by one to ask how do I look? U would hardly get an honest comment. If u get any at all. There is more gratification in doing ur thing and observe heads turning to admire u or people tapping each other to point at u or better still people stopping you to tell u wow you look amazing. Even if its just one voluntary comment... Its better than 100 sollicited... As I said, cos wen u ask, u hardly get honesty. Believe me everyone sees everything on facebook. I call it the facebook spirit. If a post is for u, about u, or concerns u in anyway, tagged or not, good or bad, u MUST see it. People just choose to not be involved in things that dont really move them. Some people tag 99 people in a post... And they dont even get a fraction of that number of likes and comments. If u want to be influential on social media, quit tagging people. Do a post... If it gets 10 likes, then u know thats a line of public interest u can pursue. If it doesnt get any likes at all after 24 hrs, think over it and see how it doesnt fit and then find ways to do it better or divert to sth else. Test-run urself by exploiting that freedom of involvement or non involvement. The more u grow in voluntary involvements (numbers of likes and comments), the more u measure and are satisfied with ur influence. Its a little different with Pages cos some people Like about 100 pages so they dont get to see all the pages do esp as FB wants the pages to pay for u to see what they are doing. Personally I dont like to be tagged. If you tag me in a crowd of tags, u are just telling me not to comment on ur thing no matter how good it is. If a tag is not addressing me directly, I unfollow the post quietly. If I like u too much, I will click Like on the post for u to see I have seen it, and I unfollow it. Like my dad will say...Its not good to place emotional demands on people. Allow people express their feelings from their heart at their convenience.
