Take 10 for Alex Alexander Hermann, a 9 year old Lakeway Elementary student was at his first day of soccer practice when he was struck by a rogue bolt of lightning from a storm cell over 3 miles away. The heroics of a 19 year old, first time soccer coach who performed bystander CPR, was monumental in regaining Alexs pulse so that EMS personnel could eventually airlift him. He has 1st degree burns and some organ damage, but not sureat present regarding his neurological condition. We are grateful to the Lake Travis Youth Association for establishing a fund to assist with Alexs eventual medical care.
