WTF does this even mean -While working media were there to put eyes and lenses on the emergency unfolding from the safe distance of vantage points approved by emergency authorities, all other office workers and general passers-by had no fathomable reason to be there other than grotesque voyeurism.? FFS. Grotesque Voyeurism is the trademark of Australian media. Even after the police issued a request not to film or photograph their positions, nobody shut down the coverage. The story was played out as another Home and Away episode, when all it needed was an hourly bulletin with NO footage. Seeing this stuff does not help people in any way, or serve the community in any way. The best way to combat terrorism is to not report it in the media. Dont report the planning of it, the doing of it, the consequence of it...NOTHING. Act like it doesnt exist and they cannot spread their word, recruit fellow losers and idiots to their cause, or strike fear into the wider community. Simply report that a wanker acted inappropriately and will be dealt with by the police and judicial system.
