Take a look at 3 year old Shakira’s video—she’s a bundle of energy and just wants to play and play! And even the ACC folks noted during the initial medical that she was “friendly, wagging tail, soft body, interested in people…no signs of aggression”. Shakira’s people brought her in to sit in a crate at Brooklyn ACC ‘cause they couldn’t or didn’t want to get Shakira the vet care she needs for an ear infection and skin issues. But being young and happy go lucky and pretty doesn’t count for anything at ACC and they’ve put Shakira on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, this sweetie needs a special person who will let Shakira enjoy the family life that she misses so much; someone who’ll figure out if her skin and ear issues are allergies; someone who will just enjoy having a dog at faithful and happy companion at their side for many years to come. If that’s you, step up to foster or adopt Shakira. But do it quick—ACC won’t waste any time making Shakira just another gone dog.
