Take a look at the skylines of the worlds big cities: I just googled skyline and got a tour of some gorgeous ones, from Melbourne, Australia [magnificent] to New York, to London, to Chicago, to Frankfurt, to Shanghai. It was the big needle in Shanghais skyline that sent me looking. I now know that it is the Pearl TV Tower and soars over 1500 feet high. One of the other skyscrapers is even taller, exceeding 1600 feet.
