Take a look at this Google sponsored project with the National Park Foundation that launched yesterday to get girls to code holiday lights for the annual tree lighting ceremony at the White House. Starting, December 2nd, girls can go to madewithcode and use blockly, to code Christmas lights, a snowflake, or even a yeti. If they choose to code lights, their work will be displayed on their state or territory’s tree throughout the month of December. Made with Code is an initiative designed to show girls the fun and creative things they can do with computer science. We hope to have hundreds of thousands of girls participate in the program. If you have a moment today, visit madewithcode and take a look at the projects. In just a few minutes, girls can learn how easy and fun coding can be. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for helping us spread the word.
