Take heed and beware of coveteouness, for a mans life does not - TopicsExpress

Take heed and beware of coveteouness, for a mans life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses Luke 12:15 If I should ask some sisters and brothers the kind of man/woman they desire to marry, Im very sure many of us will have what to say! If Im not mistaken, some of us have even written down on a sheet of paper the qualities we desire from our spouse without trying our best to be the RIGHT PERSON a man/woman wants! There is nothing wrong when we list out those good qualities we desire from them, however, you need to ask yourself some questions; Are you the type of person who would be able to receive such man/woman? Would your values line up with those of a good man/woman? Of a truth, we dont attract who we want in this life, we attract who we are! Matt. 7:18 Sisters: Some of you are very desperate to marry a rich and handsome man without asking questions like; Does he have a vision? Does he have a thirst for knowledge? Is he a God fearing man? Does he have leadership qualities? Most of you sisters dont want to help a man fulfill his potential, you want him to already have it all, so that you can reap where you did not sow! Some sisters have missed out on a good man just because he didnt come in the package they wanted! Money is not everything! Dont marry a man because of what he has, who he is in the society, or what he can buy for you! Righteousness is not simply a matter of what a person does or does not do, it is a matter of what a person is within! Brothers: Most of you are out there searching for Miss Universe, women with enough external together, which most people call Packaging. I am happy to know you love good things but I have to remind you that ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD. Outward beauty is good and attractive, but what is the essence of an outward/outer beauty when the inner one is ugly? Outward beauty is nothing if the inner beauty cannot be maintained! Dont go for the container, rather, go for the content. You dont judge a book by it cover, Try to find out who she truly is; Is she a God fearing person? Does she have a vision? Would she help you fulfill the God-ordained purpose of your life? Does she have a personal relationship with God? Nothing should be more important to you than your mates spiritual well-being! A successful relationship is not about having someone who has enough money, who drives the expensive cars, who has the nicest body shapes and looks, who is famous and who stays in the biggest house.. All these things are good but its all about being with a person who puts God first in everything he/she does, who appreciates you, who would sacrifice everything for your comfort, who has a plan for tomorrow, who loves you and would always bring out the best in you!
