Taking a breather from the idiosyncrasies of life in the quiet - TopicsExpress

Taking a breather from the idiosyncrasies of life in the quiet town of Kuala Kubu Baru, I can already feel the magnitude and ripples Karpals death has made to thousands of Malaysians some 300KM from where I am. A true wake up call. Penang must be charged with a massive amount of Awakening subtly taking place in the mindsets of Malaysians. Which also explains the recent string of silly comments made by BN affiliated NGOs and politicians. Wouldnt you be shivering in your pants when you see the outpour of love and support to a person deemed an opponent? I know I would. And I would also get complacent and blurt out silly but threatening statements and comments. It is obvious fear is the driving factor behind those unbecoming statements. Karpals death has also led to many progressive Muslims to question the unnecessary and silly Fatwas issued for trivial things. The Rest In Peace issue was an eye opening one for many Awakened and Semi Awakened Muslims. The outpour of love and support has shown Malaysians that one does not need to be from a certain race or religion to make an impact of such magnitude. One simply needs to have immense love and passion for what one does. And do it the most noble way. I have never seen anyone being cremated and mourned in such a huge scale in Malaysias recent history. Karpals passing is proof that Malaysia can transcend the racial and religious barrier that has plagued this country. This is just Karpals death. Imagine Tok Nik Azizs passing?
