Taking a moment to gather my thoughts and still my soul for words - TopicsExpress

Taking a moment to gather my thoughts and still my soul for words of appreciation for my family-Embo. Yhooooooooooo! Where do I begin… Monica Ntloko, thankyou Queen for being the strong pillar to Embo that you are. I appreciate the grace with which you received me. I appreciate the way you allow yourself to be used by the Great Spirit for the work that needs to be done for Embo. Your quiet, reflective soul is admirable. Ashe! Lungelo Jamaa , a powerful Spirit like you and yet you are still simmering yet to release yourself to your true potential. No one else will release you but yourself. You have the power within you. I hope I shall be there as one of the witnesses to your coming into your own. Is there anything that can hold you back but yourself? Is there anything to fear but yourself? Allow yourself to be and believe that you are a great sage and then walk in this calling. Thankyou for gifting us with your soul music. Thankyou for gifting us with a beautiful ancestor as Thongolam. Sikhumbule Patric Mnyaka, your teachable spirit is amazing. How a young man can be open and willing to learn from those older than him is an amazing sight in these days. How you chose Nkwame as a mentor says much about you as a person and the kind of vision that the Great Spirit has given you for your life. I see you being a great teacher and being greater than the master who taught you all the tricks. You are our link to the next generation and we hold you dear to us. Thankyou for your humility. Thankyou for your sacrifice. Thankyou for being Ka Nkwame’s shadow. In ancient Egypt spirituality/Kemet, a shadow was always with a person and thus it was believed that the shadow had elements of the person. In a hot country like Egypt shadows were a blessing for those who could rest in them. You are a blessing to Ka Nkwame. Metaphorically, gods threw shadows too, shadows of protection: Kings were described as being in the shadow of the god. Also, Unlike the body, the shadow was not bound to the grave and could go where the body could not. I hope you are understanding what I am saying. You are an extension of him and when he is bound, you will do what he cannot do. Ashe! Ashe! Ashe! Asè Uhuru Macwili, , Queen sister…warrior spirit, partnered to me by the ancestors, who would have known that such a sweet smiling face could hold such a formidable spirit? You will woo them with your smile and liberate them with your strong personality. Any man would be proud to have such a queen as you by their side. You make things happen M-afrika! Thankyou for having a BIG heart to accommodate me. Thankyou for your flexibility. How do you manage to talk with a smile always on your face? Thankyou for receiving me. Thankyou for loving me. Thankyou for running with me to the train station at 6:30 a.m. in the morning in the cold rains in Cape Town. Thankyou for allowing me to be myself with Ka Nkwame. May you rise one level to another! May you ascend! Ashe! Ashe! Ashe! Nkwame Cedile, …..yhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! From the moment I met you, you have been a door opener in my life. You allowed me to see myself in you. You opened my dreams, my visions, my life…you helped me expand my horizon and to dream again and not only talk, because talk is cheap, but to also get shit done! From the moment you said, “I will adopt you”, you have remained true to your words. The greatest thing about knowing you is that I know you got my back as I yours. With you is where I’d rather be…and this words pulsate through others who I see around you because you have this magnetic energy that holds others in orbit around you. I feel the sense of urgency in your tone when you talk. I know you see the end at sight and it’s near. I know you are compelled to pour your all and give it the best to the very end because of the drums that are beating. I hear those drums too. Just remember that the sense of urgency is propelled by a fuelling from giants on whose shoulders you are standing on. They are rising you up so that they can finish the work for which they allowed you to still exist at this very moment. May we all ascend to Embo and may the ancestors give you quiet times in the cool of the evening in a wooden porch, on top of a hill looking downwards to Embo…book in hand, laptop by side and a cigar filtering through your lungs. One love, One Spirit, One Afrika.
