Taking advantage of this weeks lovely weather to squeeze in a few late gardening tasks. Got the fig tree pruned back for the winter, the chicken house cleaned out and set up for winter (electric water bowl to keep water from freezing, fresh bedding, etc.), cut back the Russian Sage bushes along the driveway. Tomorrow will see us getting a few last plants in the ground (anemone and hardy cyclamen corms), as well as more weed pulling and cutting back of dead plants/weeds. I love my 2 acres, but with the various surgeries that have kept us distracted this year, its all looking quite a mess right now. :(
