Talked with a pastor friend for almost an hour yesterday. Our conversation rings true for pastors all over. I want to help pastors to know that you are not alone. What you are doing for the Lord is awesome and He will bless if you continue to try to please Him! 1. There is no such thing as speaking truth in love to some people. You want to help, but they will always look at you as being judgmental. 2. You can do 99 things right with people, but most will always remember the 1 thing you may have messed up on. 3. Your wife and kids are looked at differently than others. 4. Not everyone will like you (its hard, but true) 5. You are never OFF the clock. Its hard to explain to some. If they only knew how many times a day you prayed for them........ 6. You need people praying for you. You are human ......you need prayers. 7. It can be the most lonely times in your life.....remember, God is right there. I hope this helps. Please tag your pastor in this post and pray for him today.
