Sam Smith, The Militarization of American Youth and the “I Will NOT Kill” Campaign (Chair of the Chicago Chapter of the FOR, Fellowship of Reconciliation, ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren, one of the historic peace churches) • • July 11 – at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral, 7pm • July 18 – Johnny Barber, A Conversation on Gaza (Member of Voices for Creative Nonviolence; Barber has traveled to try to make peace in wars zones such as Palestine (the West Bank and Gaza), Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan — going as he said, “to bear witness and document the suffering of people who are affected by war.
