Responsibilities: The Relationship Banker will provide customers with unparalleled service by performing all responsibilities in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner. Provide friendly, professional service while effectively cross-selling products and services to new and existing customers in both the new accounts and customer service representative areas. To provide support to the banking centers as needed. Job Duties: • Interact effectively with customers and co-workers. • Project friendly, positive and professional bank image. • Lead staff in the absence of a manager. • Responsible for processing customer transactions that include deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, etc. while providing an unparalleled client experience. • Provide consultative customer service by opening accounts, accepting loan applications and some loan closings. • Consult with customers on various products and services, explaining features and benefits. • Assist customers with resolving errors and complaints. • Utilize techniques to identify any product needs that customers may have and utilize opportunity to expand relationship. • Know and adhere to personnel and operations policies and procedures. • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regard to customer and employee information. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Two to four years of branch banking experience, including proven consumer lending experience strongly preferred. • Knowledge and experience with branch operating policies and procedures required. • Knowledge of Teller Operations. • Knowledge of Retail Products and Services required; willingness to learn. • Ability to identify and recognize opportunity for referrals. • Knowledge of New Accounts (Platform) area-operations. • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. • Good communication skills essential. • Ability to handle confidential information professionally. • Capable of standing for long periods of time. • Detailed –oriented and strong organizational skills. General Working Conditions: This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
