Tamir Rice was 12 years old. He was gunned down by Cleveland police officers while at the playground, a place most would consider safe yet if you are a black male not so much. He was in possession of a pellet gun, one millions of boys his age and even I played with as a child, and was shot while trying to put it in his waist band and fall to the ground after cops drew down on him. He never made any threats nor did he point the gun at the cops even slightly yet he died of two gunshots to his upper body given to him by those who have pledged to serve and protect.
