Taney County Landlord Successful Against Progressive Insurance Company. The Wade Law Firm, LLC successfully secured a settlement from Progressive Insurance Company after the company refused to pay a Taney County landlord when their rental property was severely damaged by Taney Country law enforcement during the execution of a search warrant for a fugitive who was hiding in the home. Law enforcement used powder barricade projectiles of CS gas to apprehend the fugitive. The projectiles blew larges holes in the homes walls and caused extensive smoke damage. Progressive Insurance refused to pay for the damage claiming that the policy did not cover law enforcement activity. Wade Law Firm researched the type munitions used by the SWAT team and determined they were covered by the policy. Just before a lawsuit was filed, Progressive Insurance Company agreed to pay the landlord for their damages.
