Designed for anyone new to the sector, the BEST Nonprofit Boot Camp will help provide the tools needed for organizations in the early stages of development. Come learn about the role of the Executive Director, working with volunteers, nonprofit accountability and transparency, policies and procedures, the responsibilities of the board, and more. In order to be eligible for a technical assistance grant (up to $5,000) or capacity building (up to $10,000) award from the BEST Project, attendance in this course is required for any new organization (less than 3 years old). The Ann Arbor-based Zingerman’s Community of Businesses are internationally known and highly regarded for fantastic customer service and repeat business. Join us for an interactive and engaging professional development session that provides an overview of Zingerman’s approach to customer service with plenty of opportunities for discussion and hands-on practice. The focus of the session is on identifying the key elements that contribute to a culture of great service. ZingTrain staff will share tools and techniques for customer service improvements and class materials include examples from Zingerman’s internal staff training. They will address how their approach can be adapted to work in your organization.
